Beach toy donations
Take-a-Toy/Leave-a-Toy
The IRB environmental nonprofit GreenTown Kids, in conjunction with the City of Indian Rocks Beach, gives beachgoers a fantastic way to reuse beach toys. Not only does this project encourage families to recycle toys, it also helps keep IRB’s beautiful beaches clean.
As a short-term rental owner, Vacation Donations founder Diane Daniel is constantly dropping off leftover toys there. That's her on the right, leaving a bucket of plastic doodads and an adorable baby-sized raft. One time, as soon as she deposited a beach ball into the bin, a child just arriving at the beach with his parents plucked it right back out. That was thrilling!
